Christmas in Kerala - Amritapuri & Kollam

Amritapuri, the birthplace of Amma

Built up on the very property where Amma was born, Amritapuri is now the headquarters of Amma’s worldwide mission and the spiritual home for Amma’s monastic disciples and hundreds of householder devotees.

Kollam (or Quilon)

Kollam is an old sea port and town on the Laccadive Sea, and it has a commercial reputation from the days of the Phoenicians and the Romans. It is known for cashew processing and coir manufacturing. The Ashtamudi Lake is considered to be the southern gateway to the backwaters of Kerala and is a prominent tourist destination.
